The 2022 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo opens in the glass with a burst of wild berries, sage and wilted violets. It is soft and round, with depths of ripe red and blue fruits swirling throughout. Towards the close, the wine takes on steely minerality. A sensation of liquid stone lingers while the 2022 takes on a savory edginess, ending on a spicy rosemary note.
