Robert Parker (87)
A well-made sleeper of the vintage, Lafon Rochet’s 2011 exhibits a dense ruby/plum color in addition to sweet cassis, earth and spice notes, medium body, excellent depth and light to moderate tannin.
Winespectator (90)
This has a chunky feel, with charcoal and cassis bush notes out front, followed by plum skin, steeped black currant and blackberry coulis flavors. A charcoal hint strides back in on the finish, with fresh acidity buried throughout.
