Winespectator (94)
This powerful red is like a finely tuned race-car; energy under tight control. The fruit is vibrant, with blackberry and currant flavors, the tannins are muscular but well-integrated and the finish is clean. A brilliant success in a great vintage.
Jancis Robinson (16.50)
Very flattering, full and rich with savoury notes underneath. Quite animal but definitely seductive.
Decanter (93)
This is a pale, delicate garnet in colour, showing something of its 23 years. In the mouth it’s complex and mature, but still with fleshy redcurrant fruit and notes of spicy ginger and dried herbs. A light, savoury rasp of tannin lends some structure.
