The 1972 Rivesaltes has a delineated bouquet with dried honey, nutmeg and marmalade notes that are harmonious and well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a tangy, sweet entry and notes of orange rind, marmalade, apricot and a dash of Chinese five-spice. Very graceful on the finish, the 1972 fans out wonderfully—one of the most elegant Rivesaltes from Domaine St Michel.
