Robert Parker (95)
One of the most singular wines in this tasting is the 2005 Clos Joliette. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of whiskey, vanilla pod, caramel, mandarin, sweet spices and a touch of oak, it’s medium to full-bodied, charming and round, with a rich core of fruit that’s framed by a mineral, ethereal finish. This 2005 is simply stunning with depth, length and elegance. It contains 27.2 grams of residual sugar. pH: 3.8. Yellow waxed capsules.
