The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Fairendes is very pretty, wafting from the glass with notes of pear, orange oil, lime zest, fresh mint and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, it’s bright and chalky, concluding with a saline finish.
