The 2010 Charmes-Chambertin blossoms on the palate in every direction. It is at once incredibly long yet also totally spherical on the palate. Bright red fruit, freshly cut flowers and spices are all woven together gracefully, but this is really a wine of textural finesse above all else. Rich layers of fruit stain the palate on the intense, deeply satisfying finish. This is a dazzling showing from Christian Serafin. Anticipated maturity: 2025-2040.
