Burghound (93)
Firm reduction renders the nose tough to assess in its present condition. By contrast, there is both excellent freshness and vibrancy to the rich and appealingly textured medium weight flavors that aren’t quite as mineral-driven, but the supporting tannins are finer on the lengthy, balanced and harmonious finale. This could use better depth, but the Forey VRPM has an excellent track record for rewarding extended keeping.
