The 2019 Pommard 1er Cru Les Charmots wafts from the glass with inviting aromas of exotic spices, rose petals, orange rind and plums, but on the palate, it was a touch lean and austere, lacking a bit of flesh to conceal its tangy acids and powdery tannins. Perhaps that will come with time.
