Vinous (93)
The 2019 Piantonaia, 100% Merlot, offers good depth and density in the mid-weight style of the year. Black cherry, plum, licorice, mocha, cloves and incense all take shape in this savory, potent Merlot. I would give the tannins a few years to soften.
