Burghound (90)
Here the expressive nose blends hints of cassis and red berry liqueur with those of soft spice and newly turned earth. There is a lovely texture to the solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that also conclude in a firm, mildly warm and serious but not especially rustic or youthfully austere finish.
Jasper Morris (93)
A bright mid purple. This is still in barrel and is not yet showing much nose. There is a fine concentration of a sweetly ripe plum and raspberry fruit. Comes from the Vosne side plus some purchases in Premeaux. A fine and elegant finish for Nuits.
