Jancis Robinson (16)
Transparent amber. A bit sweaty on the nose. Light sweetness and lots of acidity. Not married. Just a bit jagged at the moment. (JR)
Vinous (88)
The 1991 Maury has a slightly higher-toned bouquet than expected, with finely delineated red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit. In some ways it feels like a fortified Pinot Noir. The palate is rounded on the entry and viscous in texture, with a touch of toffee infusing the red fruit and a sweet, latte-tinged finish.
