The NV Extra Brut La Grace d’Alphael is a broad, ample wine built on textural richness and volume. The chunkier side of Côtes des Blancs Chardonnay comes through loud and clear in this potent, decidedly brooding Champagne.
Falstaff (90)
Bright, brilliant golden yellow. Initially brioche, green apple and almond notes, then with some air, wet stone. Very fine mousse, straight, austere, direct across the palate, bone dry, taut acidity, clear structure, very refreshing finish with savoury herbal echoes.
