Vinous (91)
The 2024 Riesling Gundersheimer trocken was picked from the Höllenbrand site—the western, more ventilated, slightly higher extension of the Morstein. This was made with the latest-ripening grapes of the estate. This still swings with yeastiness and a touch of pleasant reduction on the nose. The palate is cool, bright, slender and svelte. Pale lemon-tinged juiciness spreads its vivid brightness and coolness. The 2024 is a very direct, superbly clean-cut Riesling that just calls out for oysters. (Bone-dry)
