The white 2023 Blanco de Parcela Fuente de las Hontanillas was produced with an unusual blend of Verdejo, Albillo Mayor and Godello grapes matured in barrel for 10 months. It has a little more color but lower alcohol than the previous vintage, denoting contained ripeness and a less warm year with 12.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.39 and 5.76 grams of acidity. It’s spicy and smoky and has a fine texture, and it’s chalky, tasty and sapid, with a clean finish.

Fine toast aromas add subtle sweetness, creaminess and white fruit. Lightly chalky and taut, with a full body and concentration. The acidity is high but rather mellow, without sharpness. This is fresh, full and vinous, with a saline tang at the end. Mostly verdejo with some godello and albillo.
