Burghound (91)
A perfumed and more elegant and slightly cooler nose reflects spicy red cherry aromas that are liberally laced with a plethora of floral nuances. The innate refinement of Chambolle is very much on display with the punchy middle weight flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality on the balanced and moderately austere finale where a hint of bitter pit fruit character slowly emerges. This is also an excellent villages and warmly recommended.

Quite a full crimson purple, though the bouquet is currently on the reductive side. There is fair tension on the palate, plenty of fruit in the mouth, but the 2022 Laurent Ponsot Chambolle is not together today.
