The Westhofen 2023 Brunnenhäuschen Riesling GG has a deep, clear, precise, fresh and substantial nose of crushed limestone and salt. On the palate, this is dense and tremendously complex and mineral, supported by fine, ripe, elegant acidity. It’s astringent and powerful on the finish yet always exciting, delicate and with natural length and intensity. This great Riesling is one of the highlights of the vintage on the Rhine. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden in August 2024.

Tendrils of lemon curd and red apple twist together with lemon and kumquat. Elegantly juicy on the sleek palate with sharp, zesty edges. Complex and refined, with a creamy agility that belies the rigid, racy temperament beneath.
