James Suckling (94)
Really pretty aromas of sweet raspberries and berries with floral undertones. Medium to full body. Chewy tannins that are fine and polished. Needs two or three years to soften.
Vinous (92)
The 2019 Capogatto is plump and forward, with good fruit presence and plenty of raciness. Succulent red cherry, mocha, blood orange, sweet oak, spice and new leather are front and center. I would prefer to drink the 2019 sooner rather than later given its mid-weight structure this year.
