Robert Parker (93)
The Raveneau 2011 Chablis Valmur projects a yet more striking sense of levity combined with textural allure and glycerol-richness than does the corresponding Blanchots. Green tea, musky narcissus, gentian, chalk and oyster liqueur suffuse a palate generously juicy with fresh grapefruit and lemon, leading to a finish at once soothing and stimulating not to mention utterly intriguing and compelling of the next sip. Look for yet more impressive performances from this beauty between now and 2022.
